My Next Single “Mama Don’t You Leave” releases 3/6
I am super excited to announce that my new song “Mama Don’t You Leave” will be releasing 4 weeks from today on March 6th on all Music streaming platforms. This one means a lot to me and it was a therapeutic writing process that came together really quickly. I took all the feelings I felt as a kid plus some from people I felt left me while growing up as well as imagining some other stuff. I had a good time writing it and I have been encouraged by the response any time I play it out on my gigs. I hope to hear more from you when it’s released.
This year I have been doing some more writing, both musically and in poetic form, and I hope to share more as the months go on. Stay tuned!
All the vocal and instrumental parts (including the Electric Guitar which I’m super proud of) for “Mama Don’t You Leave” were done by me!

Show me what went through your head / Give me a reason why you left

The day you left is forever etched on my mind / It seeps into my soul and claims me as its own
The pain I feel is seared into my skin / I must cast you off before my life begins
The way you left is why I keep things to myself / It’s why I build these walls up and let nobody in
The shame I felt when you cast me to the side / Is why I’ll always be there to be my children’s guide

I try to take this pain and explain it all away / Look at what you did & say, “That’s the way she was”
But I can’t deny the facts, so I sit here waiting on your a__ / all I know is that’ll never be who I am
And no matter how I went down, I’m thankful you weren’t around
If you had kept me home, I would still be by your side
With no hopes or dreams and nothing worth living for / So I had to pack my bags & go out to explore
